Privacy policy
How we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you use aurum.org.au or contact us.

Aurum Foundation Ltd (ABN 39 680 160 570) handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy covers this website. Our other platforms, including autisticprideday.org and Learn, have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us.
Contact form. Your name, email address, the type of enquiry and your message.
Talent list. Your name, email address, and anything you tell us about your background, experience and areas of interest.
Donations. Your name, email address, billing address, the amount and the date of your gift. Stripe processes the payment: your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us.
Email and phone. Whatever you include when you write to us or call us.
We do not ask for sensitive information. If you choose to tell us about your health, disability or other sensitive matters in a message, we use it only to respond to you, and only with your consent.
What we do not collect
This site does not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies, and it does not build profiles of visitors. We do not sell or rent personal information.
We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry. To contact you about a role if you joined our talent list. To process your donation and send you a receipt, and to keep the financial records the law requires of a registered charity. To keep a record of our correspondence. We will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this site and our email:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and processes form submissions.
- Stripe processes donations.
- Microsoft 365 hosts our email, and sends form confirmations and donation receipts from hello@aurum.org.au.
These providers may store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We use them only to run our services, and we do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it or you agree.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for two years after our last contact with you. Talent list details are kept until you ask us to remove them, and for no more than two years without contact. Donation records are kept for seven years, as charity record keeping rules require.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@aurum.org.au and we will respond.
Complaints
If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, contact us first at hello@aurum.org.au or on (02) 8003 7333. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
